Fix It Friday

Fix It Friday at I ♥ Faces. This week they have an adorable little baby. I was really excited to work on this one. I tried really hard not to look at the edited versions so I could use my own ideas. I managed to only see one (which I loved!). So here is my take on this photo. All edits were made with Photoshop 7.

Original Shot

Rotated 45 degrees, and cloned in the blanket to fill in the voids. First I lightened the image. Then ran an action to make the eyes sparkle. I also added a texture called "sandstone" to blur out my changes to the blanket. Then I used the history brush on the face. Then I used "rounded corners" action, just cuz I like it. :)

On this picture I did the same as above, except without the sandstone filter.

This one has the "Seventies" action that I love so well. I change the layer opacity a bit to tone it down some.
On this shot, I ran the sparkly eyes action, then I lightened the picture by about 2 more steps. Then I converted it to black and white. This one is my favorite of the edits.

I love the way you rotated this photo and then filled in the area to keep it to a 7x5 ratio. Awesome edits!

OK, I love your rotation and crop! Very nice. I really like the 70s edit too...I always forget to try and tone "down" the color saturation. I always tend to brighten and glow! But then when I see a muted photo, I love it! Hmmmmm... And your B&W is by far my favorite - holy cow! You did such nice work with the eyes!!! Great job!

The B&W is my favorite too. I think black and white conversions just make babies skin so soft and flawless. Great job!
